Russian history begins with the Finno-Ugric and Eastern Slavs communities from seventh century. The Russian ancestors- Eastern Slavs occupied some of the territories and ruled over there till 13th century. The Russian Revolution was carried out in 1917 with the purpose of economic reform, ending the existing war and restoration of democracy in the country. As a result, a coalition government between liberal and moderate socialists was formed but due to the weak policies, the power was captured by the Communist Bolsheviks. The history of Russia is directly connected to the Soviet Union since 1922 which brought drastic changes in the political, economical and social aspect of Russia. Russia was led by Communists rulers till 1991.
