Russia is a combination of multiple ethnic groups and cultures. Some of the people are from European countries and some of from Asia that clearly reflects the cultural differences. Russian culture begins from the East Slavic people who occupied Russia in the beginning and ruled over it.
Most of the Russian ethnic groups were recognized as Great Russian which originated from the society of ancient Rus. There is a combination of different communities such as- Belorussians and Ukrainians who have different norms, values and cultures. Russia is an amazing in itself due to its geographical location. It is situated in both continents such as- Europe and Asia. Therefore, it is the collection of countries with varieties of cultures.
Russian history begins with the Finno-Ugric and Eastern Slavs communities from seventh century. The Russian ancestors- Eastern Slavs occupied some of the territories and ruled over there till 13th century. They developed Russia as the ancient Keivan Rus and founded Moscow city- as one of the small cities during their regime. The territory of Keivan Rus went to the hands of Mongol Yoke which was the first attack in the history of Russia.
